Administrative Support & Enquiries 

The Registrars provide administrative support for the Tribunal by processing claims, arranging hearings and assisting Chairs/Panel Members.

They are available to answer any procedural queries but the Registrars cannot give advice.  in the office from 09:00-17:00 via email, telephone or in person regarding the Tribunal procedure or the progress of your claim but the Registrar cannot offer advice.

If you are delivering documents there is a postbox outside the building and on the first floor.

When visiting the Tribunal Office please ring the bell on the right hand side of the double doors.

Photocopying

A photocopying service is not available at the Tribunal Office.

Please ensure you keep a copy of your Claim / Response Form and any other papers you submit / receive.

A photocopying service is available at the Jersey Library.

Toilet Facilities

Toilet facilities are available for parties attending hearings.

An accessible toilet is also available.

Refreshments

Please help yourself to water at the Tribunal Reception.

Jugs of water are provided for parties attending hearings.

No food is allowed in the hearing room or meeting rooms.

Wheelchair Access

Wheelchair access is available throughout the office and there is a lift. If you need assistance please contact us before your arrival.

Hearing Loop

A hearing loop is available in both hearing rooms, if you require this please contact us before your hearing.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building.

Children

It is not appropriate for parties to bring babies and children to the Tribunal Hearing. 

However if you need to breastfeed/express while using our facilities we can provide a private room, please contact us before your hearing.

Witness Information

If you have been asked by a Claimant or Respondent to be a witness at a Final Hearing, please note you are required to make yourself available for the duration of the hearing. A Final Hearing usually lasts for one day, but we cannot specify when you will be required to give your evidence.

Please inform the Chairman at the start of the hearing if you have a genuine reason why you cannot attend for the full day.

If a party, witness or representative needs to attend a hearing by video link please email the Registrar who will seek permission of the Chair.

Costs

Please note the Tribunal cannot reimburse legal costs or loss of earnings if you are required as a witness.
